A therapy session is typically between 45 and 50 minutes. Our first session will involve information-gathering, more direct questions and evaluation of any presenting concerns, and symptoms.

The following sessions will be more co-constructed in which the focus tends to be on specific goals or a more general exploration of ongoing issues in order to build insight and self-awareness. 

Psychotherapy is always built on a strong foundation of empathy, non-judgement and safety.  I believe that therapy must include both an exploration of underlying issues and conflicts as well as practical skill-building and changing aspects of one's thinking. I enjoy forming a strong relationship with my clients, as I believe this can be the real catalyst of change.
